In the summer of 2005, Shane had an idea to create a commercial construction company in Des Moines that was unique. Shane envisioned a company that was 100% locally owned and operated, was totally dedicated to their client's satisfaction and had a group of employees that truly enjoyed being around one another. Shane also envisioned a company that would offer a palate of services that was also unique.

The vision was a firm that could not only build a building, but could also find land, assist in the development, have strong affiliations with local municipalities, and provide a true "soup to nuts" type of development and commercial construction experience for its clients.

The company was formed in July of 2005 and, to date, has nearly $50 million of construction projects under way. Projects range from as small as $10,000 remodels to as large as a $14,000,000 condominium project in downtown Des Moines.

Shane is active in the Des Moines community and is involved with such organizations as The Morning Club, Rotary a.m., The Greater Des Moines Committee, and is a board member of the Civic Music Association. Shane is also a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute and has served as the President of Associated Builders of Iowa.
